General news, changes and fixes

V 3.125 (02/25/2019, current firmware: 2.77 / 1.71 / 344 / 27 / 7)

New in TotalMix FX 1.6:

- Settings for External Input and current PFL mode are no longer changed per Snapshot.

- Solo/PFL have now priority over the Mute state of an input channel.

- Settings, Mixer: New option 'Exclusive Solo/PFL Mode'

- Settings, Mixer: New option '2-Row Mode with only Input in first row'

- Settings, Aux Devices: Increased number of Aux device channel banks to 24, so that MADIface XT and HDSPe MADI FX can control an Octamic XTC even on MADI port 3.

- Preferences, Mixer Views: New option 'Store channel open/close state in Layout Preset'.

- Preferences, Snapshots: new 'do not load' options 'Main Volume, Main/Phones Volume, Control Room Settings'.

- Preferences, New Option 'Store Settings for all users'. So far every user had his own TM FX state/settings. This option now allows to have the same settings for all users.

- Added full support for multi-user operation. On a user change TM FX will automatically close and reopen. According to the above option it then loads either specific settings for the current user, or the same settings for all users.

- Menu File: New option 'Preload all snapshots'. Loads the 8 snapshots of a workspace into the Snapshot section, but does not activate any of them. Other settings within the workspace file (window position etc.) are ignored.

- Matrix: Shift + click to change phase, Ctrl + click to mute (or double click) on the vertical channel name columns.

- ARC USB: added new mode 'Push-or'. Allows for example to activate Talkback with a button and the footswitch without blocking each other.

- ARC USB, Usage: supports SysEx mode (requires firmware update of the ARC USB). Additional option to disable the former mode. Firmware download:

----------------------

V 3.119 (10/05/2016, current firmware: 2.77 / 1.71 / 344 / 27 / 7)

- Signed for Windows 7, 8 and 10.

----------------------

V 3.118 (07/22/2016, current firmware: 2.77 / 1.71 / 344 / 27 / 7)

New in TotalMix FX 1.31:

- Improved Mono output support for ASIO Direct Monitoring.

- Support for more than 8 channels in OSC. An additional setting now allows to select 8 (default), 12, 16 or 24 channels.

- An OSC remote can be assigned to a specific submix.

- DAW mode added. This simplified alternative interface is for anyone performing all monitoring and routing within the DAW software, so not using TotalMix FX. The DAW mode restarts TM FX into a simpler version with just two rows, no playback row, and no mixing faders in the input row. Routing is 1:1 only. Just gain, phantom power control (if existing) and hardware output levels cab be set.

----------------------

V 3.116 (02/02/2016, current firmware: 2.77 / 1.71 / 344 / 27 / 7)

- improved operation of Smooth and High Cut controls

- longer reverb time for all reverb types

- some parameters are now saved during normal operation for every reverb type, so that comparison and set up is more easy when switching between them

- improved the sound when using reverb and echo simultaneously. Note that these operate in serial with the echo first, so it is possible to generate echoes that get reverb on them.

- added High Cut (HC) option to the echo effect for more natural sound or an intentional damping

- echo delay time is now shown in ms and BPM, and can also be given as BPM (double-click on lower value)

- New options under Options, Reset Mix: Set all channels mono, set all channel stereo, set all inputs mono/all outputs stereo (ADM). Attention: although these options do not cause a complete reset of the mixer, the pan settings still get lost (Undo can be used to get the former settings/state back).

----------------------

V 3.110 (12/17/2014, current firmware: 2.77 / 1.71 / 343 / 25 / 5)

- MIDI fixed for the newly supported 'old' interfaces, fixing also various related side effects

- Settings (F3) did not work correctly. Chosing specific Talkback/Listen channels could cause more trouble.

------------------

General news, changes and fixes

------------------

V 3.097 (08/11/2014, current firmware: 2.77 / 1.71 / 343 / 25 / 5)

- TotalMix FX 1.02B5 instead of TotalMix. Supports Fireface 800 and Fireface 400.

- Using the parameter /silent the rmeinstaller can be run unattended

TotalMix FX 1.00:

- Global Trim Gains is now switched off with the Global Trim button only

- Several bugfixes when loading workspaces (possible graphics problem after loading the same workspace multiple times; possible hang after multiple loading of workspaces with an Aux device setting; possible incorrect loading of Mac or iPad workspaces).

- Changed Channel Layout: removed column 'active'. The list now only shows the channels that are currently present, depending on the actual sample rate. This also fixes wrong channel names when using the option 'Count MADI Channels per port' with MADI devices.

------------------

V 3.091 (05/07/2014, current firmware: 2.77 / 1.71 / 343 / 25 / 5)

- Bug fix Fireface 400: the new option WDM devices influenced the level setting via the front encoder

------------------

V 3.089 (04/02/2014, current firmware: 2.77 / 1.71 / 343 / 25 / 5)

- New: number of WDM devices can now be defined in the Settings dialog. A reduction accellerates the change of the sample rate, reduces the time of continued CPU load, brings quicker behavior on plugging and unplugging the unit, and reduces the boot time of Windows with connected interface. The best setting is 0, means no WDM devices at all. Only ASIO and MIDI are active then. A typical setting is 1 to 3 devices (WDM for Media Player etc.), also causing a much quicker behavior than full WDM channel count.

- Workaround for bug in Windows FireWire bandwidth management (no playback after several start/stops with change of the sample rate)

- In specific cases after changing the sample rate from/to single/double/quad speed a wrong buffer size was reported

- TotalMix FX 0.999

- Note: this driver version requires DIGICheck version 5.71 or higher!

------------------

V 3.085 (02/27/2014, current firmware: 2.77 / 1.71 / 343 / 25 / 5)

- Improved Undo: Loading a Workspace after editing Snapshots removed the last edits from the undo buffer

- Several small fixes

- Compatible to the latest firmwares for the iPad app v 1.1

------------------

V 3.084 (02/13/2014, current firmware: 2.77 / 1.71 / 341 / 23)

- Fixed crash when moving group fader while FX Send to Main out was active

- Mic Gain CC MIDI control channel count now excludes hidden channels

- Reverb and Echo user presets can now be loaded via MIDI CC: B2 0C nn for Reverb preset 1 to 16, B3 0C nn for Echo preset 1 to 16

------------------

------------------

V 3.076 (05/21/2013, current firmware: 2.77 / 1.71 / 341 / 23)

- New driver installation wizard. This tool pre-installs the driver so that Windows XP/7/8 automatically finds the driver files when a device is attached later. It also updates already existing driver files.

- ASIO 2.3 support with higher priority for the ASIO driver thread via MMCSS in the Settings dialog About page.

- Note: At this time, activating this option seems to be useful mostly with the latest Cubase/Nuendo at higher load. With other software this option can decrease performance. The change becomes active after an ASIO reset. Therefore it is easy to quickly check which setting works better.

------------------
